Advantages of ultra large flow filters:
● The size of the filter has been significantly reduced, the weight of the equipment has been reduced, and a large amount of land area has been saved. The layout, positioning and installation, pipeline connection, and electrical control of the filter will become very simple.
● The ultra large flow filter can be backwashed using only raw water, without the need for separate backwash tanks, backwash pumps, and large-diameter pipeline valves, thus eliminating the need for high-power backwash electrical equipment.
● At the same cross-section, as the height of the ultra large flow filter increases, the filtration capacity increases proportionally, while the backwash water flow rate does not need to increase.
● Greatly reducing equipment and engineering costs. Taking the 100t/h specification as an example, the comprehensive calculation of equipment, filter materials, land price, civil engineering, installation, power distribution, and other costs is carried out,
The ultra large flow filter adopts an innovative filtration technology that changes the upstream and downstream water flow direction of the traditional filter to the radial water flow direction, and changes the filtration cross-section of the filter material from a plane to a three-dimensional one. This results in several times more filtration flow than the traditional filter under the same size and filtration speed conditions, and can fully clean the filter material with only raw water. The ultra large flow filter effectively solves the problems of large volume, difficult backwashing, and complex system of traditional filters. The overall cost of a super large flow filter is only about one-fifth that of a traditional filter with the same processing capacity.
● It has better filtration performance than traditional filters. The traditional filtration process is constant velocity filtration, where the effective area of the filter material is concentrated near the surface, while the ultra large flow filter is variable velocity filtration. The initial flow rate of raw water entering the filter material is faster, which is conducive to impurities in the water penetrating deep into the filter layer and improving the filter material's ability to intercept pollutants. The filtration speed continuously decreases along the direction of water flow, which is conducive to achieving good filtration effects.
● It has better recoil effect than traditional filters. Traditional filters are difficult to achieve uniform backwash over a large area. Currently, the single tank area of larger filters in water plants is only a few tens of square meters, and the difficulty is that the problem of uniform backwash cannot be solved. However, the backwash area of ultra large flow filters is much smaller, making it easier to achieve uniform backwash. For example, a super large flow filter with a diameter of 3.2m can easily achieve a filtration area of 30 to 40 square meters, while the backwash area of this filter is only 8m2, which is not difficult to achieve uniform backwash.
● The super large flow filter significantly reduces the backwash discharge, resulting in significant economic and environmental benefits.
● The transportation size is not limited, and an ordinary truck can load a single filter with a filtering capacity of over 300t/h.
● The process layout is flexible, and the ultra large flow filter can be directly connected in series to the water supply pipeline or directly connected to existing purification facilities such as sedimentation tanks in water plants.
● Effectively solving the problem of blockage caused by uneven filter material. When the particle size of the filter material is uneven, there are many small filter materials mixed in the filter material. After the ordinary filter recoils, the small filter materials are concentrated above the filter layer, which quickly blocks the filter layer during operation. The raw water of the ultra high flow filter is directly introduced into the depth of the filter layer. Although the backwash also causes small filter materials to concentrate above the filter layer, the result is only a small area of filter material blockage above. The filter material with normal particle size, which accounts for the majority of the filter layer depth, is still used normally, and the operating cycle of the filter layer can still be close to the effect of uniform particle filter material.
Working principle:
The water flow of traditional particle filter material passes through the filter layer from top to bottom, and the filtering area is the cross-sectional area of the filter; The ultra large flow filter is equipped with a guide groove in the center of the filter layer and a collection tank around it. During operation, the raw water first enters the depth of the filter layer through the guide groove, and then flows radially to the collection tanks around it. Because the catchment area around the filter is much larger than its own cross-sectional area, the filtering area of the ultra large flow filter is much larger than that of traditional filters with the same cross-sectional area.
The backwash area of the filter material for the ultra large flow filter is the cross-sectional area of the filter cylinder, which is much smaller than the catchment area. Therefore, the inlet flow of the raw water is sufficient to backwash the filter material clean, and there is no need to configure a separate backwash water pump.
Compared to traditional filters:
